For the first time in 36 years, all of the national treasure "Bhavacakra", which depicts the hell that is explained in Buddhism and is handed down to a temple in Otsu City, has been released locally.

From the 10th of this month, the Otsu City Museum of History is holding a special exhibition of about 100 items such as the drawings of Shojuraigo-ji Temple and Seianji Temple in Otsu City.

Of these, the national treasure "Rokudo-e", which is handed down to Shoju-raigo-ji Temple, depicts the posthumous world described in Buddhism over 15 pieces during the Kamakura period. It is explained that he will be judged by the Great King for his deeds during his lifetime.

In addition, the "Anas Hell Map" vividly depicts people suffering from cruel torture in hell.

On the other hand, in the "Yubo Fortress Kaikyo Narrative Map", when the pot is boiled in hell, the pot is broken and saved by chanting the Nembutsu, emphasizing the power of the Nembutsu.
