Experience: Sleep in a house-boat in front of the Rock of Gibraltar
Gredos. This luxury rural house is perfect to get rid of the Madrid confinement
Half an hour by seaplane from Malé, the capital of the
Maldives
, Seaside Finolhu is one of the
most luxurious resorts in the famous archipelago
.
Natural paradise, with the longest white sand beach in the archipelago, lush tropical vegetation and a fascinating and valuable underwater world whose protection and sustainability are non-negotiable, Seaside Finolhu reopens its doors on
November 1
after a great transformation that it has managed to develop even more its
barefoot chic
atmosphere
(or the chic of going
barefoot
).
Taking advantage of the unprecedented stoppage caused by Covid-19 in the tourism sector, Seaside Finolhu decided to advance its renovation plans and began the works last March.
The objective was to carry out an
aesthetic and functional reform
of all its facilities: villas, restaurants, wellness and physical conditioning areas, public areas ...
The villas redesigned by the Muza Lab studio.
An exciting transformation that has been led by the
Muza Lab design studio,
which has also developed interior design projects with great leaders in the world of luxury, such as Belmond.
The renovation has also meant the culmination of a great project: to be the first hotel in the Maldives Islands to be included in the international portfolio of the
Design Hotels
group
.
CRAFTSMANSHIP FROM TURKEY, JAVA AND SOUTH AFRICA
Seaside Finolhu's new design concept is inspired on the one hand by the geometry, rhythm and movement of a kaleidoscope and, on the other, by the vibrant hues of
underwater flora and fauna,
sunsets and relaxing ocean landscapes.
The result is a fascinating mix of colors and symmetrical patterns that complement the natural beauty of this heavenly corner of the world.
"The changing colors, patterns and textures symbolize moments of
discovery, wonder
and delight," describes Nathan Hutchins, co-founder of Muza Lab.
The bubble room, overlooking the longest beach in Maldives.
In addition,
craftsmen from all over the world
have created special works for the
resort
.
And there are also touches of Maldivian inspiration, of course.
"Artistic tiles from Turkey, chandeliers and basketry from South Africa, and wooden crafts from Java transform the villas, restaurants,
fitness
room
and the Oceaneers Kids Club into an exotic universe full of fun," explains Inge Moore, the other 50 for cent from Muza Lab.
Marc Reader, Managing Director of Seaside Finolhu, describes the overall spirit of the hotel as
barefoot chic
, the perfect balance of
luxury, elegance and fun
that invites you to enjoy the beauty of this Maldivian paradise in the most natural and relaxed way.
The hotel follows the philosophy of relaxed luxury or 'barefoot chic'.
REJUVENATE YOUR BODY AND MIND
The great transformation of
Seaside Finolhu
can be seen in the common areas of the hotel, in the new design of its villas and in the
spa
, which proposes a return to mother nature, purity, harmony ... hence its new name,
Fehi
(green in the local language), and new holistic treatments, which have been designed to make guests feel, physically and mentally, rejuvenated.

Also in the restaurants of Seaside Finolhu we will find new concepts and attractive proposals, such as the
Beach Kitchen,
designed in the form of a culinary trip to different destinations around the world.
Or the elegant bet of
Kanusan,
the most sophisticated restaurant in Seaside Finolhu.
The renovation has also allowed the creation of a
Milk LAB
that brings together a selection of
shakes, protein drinks and fresh coffee,
while the rustic and charming
Crab Shack,
an oasis located on the impressive sandbar of Seaside Finolhu, about 20 minutes walk from the main island, it will continue to offer
seafood grills
and will make us believe that we are living on a desert island.
And the lovers of the most exotic flavors?
Well, you won't want to leave the renowned Arabian Grill ...
Seaside Finolhu has 125 villas anchored on the Indian Ocean.
In short, a
kaleidoscope of tropical experiences
in a unique natural paradise.
