Anyone who wants to see "Dumbo", "Peter Pan" or "Aristocats" on the streaming service Disney Plus must first see an introductory bonfire where Disney states, among other things: "these stereotypes were wrong then, and they are wrong today".

Be warned about Alladin

Similar warnings for "outdated cultural depictions" were introduced in the service last year, but the new texts are more strongly worded.

The information for films such as "Aladdin" and "Fantasia" has also received warnings.

Sneaky cats

Several of Disney's older films have been accused of using racist stereotypes. Examples include the insidious and "Asian" Siamese cats in "Aristocats" and the singing ravens in "Dumbo", which resemble the nid figures of the United States' blacks of the time.
