The grass dragon dance in Changxi, the Zhongkui dance in Xiongcun, the bench dragon in Xucun...Recently, in the ancient city of Huizhou, one of the four ancient cities in China, Huangshan City, Anhui Province, various folk performances "light up" the scenic area of ​​the ancient city of Huizhou. Visitors walking through the intangible cultural heritage night market in Shexian County, Anhui Province, as if traveling through time and space back to ancient Huizhou hundreds of years ago, with traditional paving and street markets nearby.

  The Changxi grass dragon dance symbolizes the joy of celebrating the harvest and praying for good weather in the coming year.

  Xiongcun dances Zhongkui, also commonly known as "playing Zhongkui" among the folks. The folklore performance inherited from ancient Huizhou has a history of more than 400 years. It means to eliminate the five poisons, the four seasons are safe, and the life is prosperous.

  "Xucun Bench Dragon" takes the bench as the dragon and decorates the image of the dragon.

The dragon body is made up of 30 wooden boards with a length of 2 meters and a width of 15 cm. Each board is decorated with lanterns. The lanterns are affixed with paper-cuts of flowers and birds and blessing texts, entrusting the good wishes of the villagers.
