China News Service, October 18th (Reporter Chen Jing) The Shanghai Municipal Health Commission disclosed on the 18th that since March, Shanghai has admitted and treated 9 severe and critical cases, all of which were imported from abroad. The patients have been discharged successfully.

Among the imported cases that were discharged from the hospital on the 18th, there were 2 severe cases.

The two patients were all foreigners and both had underlying diseases. In mid-September due to work reasons, they transferred from their respective countries to Shanghai. After diagnosis, they were transferred from the isolation point to the Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center for treatment.

After the two were admitted to the hospital, Shanghai doctors used the relevant severe scoring model to predict the existence of risk factors and the possibility of severe transformation based on the previous treatment experience, and immediately issued a severe warning.

While carrying out corresponding treatment, doctors pay close attention to various indicators and vital signs, and find signs of deterioration in the first time.

After that, the front-line treatment team under the command of the expert group carried out multidisciplinary scientific treatment in accordance with the "Shanghai Expert Consensus" and provided active and effective treatment measures, which not only blocked the patient’s subsequent progression to critical illness, but also took only 2 weeks. The patient’s condition was fully controlled within the period of time, and the severe illness was relieved. The patient recovered and was discharged smoothly after more than one month of admission.
