On the same day, the nine disabled winners of the 2020 National Poverty Alleviation Award came to the China Disabled Persons’ Federation to participate in a symposium and tell their stories about poverty alleviation.
Fu Fanping is the winner of the National Poverty Alleviation Award Endeavour Award. A fire at the age of 18 caused her to lose three relatives overnight and her hands.
But she has never given up on self-reliance, starting from learning to wear clothes, to herding sheep and planting trees... In 2015, she took the initiative to participate in the government-run e-commerce training course for poor households.
After the online store opened, poverty alleviation was achieved within three months.

I opened a Taobao store in 15 years, so I sold more than 500,000 online and offline agricultural products in three months.
I feel that this thing of mine is really suitable for us with disabilities, because a lot of people with disabilities are unable to do some heavy physical work.
I feel that getting rich alone is not really rich, so I just want to lead the people around us to get rich.
[Explanation] In order to drive more people to get rich, Fu Fanping has established a disability assistance platform to help many disabled and poor households get rid of poverty through skills training, job placement, product underwriting and education funding.

From 2016 to 2019, our company funded training for local disabled and poor households. The number of disabled people trained alone was 472, the number of poor households was 150, and the number of hand-held shops was 60.
For example, Liu Anzhen is in her 50s. After she finishes her studies, she can earn 50,000 yuan a year.
Now there are more and more people with disabilities who are employed on the Internet, but there is no such a service platform for the disabled. Therefore, the platform that I have established for the disabled is to serve the disabled.
[Explanation] Zhang Yaping, the winner of the National Poverty Alleviation Award Endeavour Award, is a Tibetan girl. She returned to her hometown after graduating from technical secondary school with hip dislocations.
Seeing that a lot of land was not cultivated, the idea of starting a farmer cooperative was born.
The family did not understand and the villagers ignored it.
She started off with borrowed funds, not only became rich herself, but also helped her hometown pick the "poverty hat".

We just rent the land of the poor and disabled households and give them dividends.
At that time, we persuaded 6 (villagers) in our village to join the community. So far, our number of members has reached 66. Then we have driven 85 poor households, including 30 disabled poor households.
We have gotten out of poverty, and my cooperative has brought them a stable income.
[Explanation] Zhang Yaping said that although she was physically disabled, she never gave up on self-reliance.
Winning the prize is incentive and motivation. In the future, she also wants to continue to expand the scale of breeding and lead more villagers to live a good life.
