In a long post posted on Instagram, John Legend paid tribute to the immense courage of Chrissy Teigen, two weeks after they lost their unborn child.
“It's for Chrissy.
I love you and cherish our family so much.
We have faced the best and the worst together.
(…) I am in awe of the strength you have shown in the most difficult times.
What a wonderful gift to be able to give life.
We have experienced this miracle, the power and the joy of this present, and now we deeply feel its inherent fragility, ”the singer wrote on Instagram in caption of a video of his performance at the Billboard Music Awards in which he performed a song called
Never Break
.

“I wrote this song because I'm sure as long as we walk this earth, we will hold hands through every tear, through the ups and downs, through every ordeal.
We vowed it to each other on our wedding day seven years ago, and every ordeal we've faced has made that promise more powerful, more resilient.

After losing her baby, Chrissy Teigen had wanted to share her experience on the networks despite the tragedy she was living and thus mark the conscience in the face of an often taboo subject.
