The curfew is not in effect there but there will be no question of relaxing.

In anticipation of the All Saints' Day holidays, where many families may go to have a good time on the beaches of Vendée, the prefect of the department has taken his precautions.

In a decree published this Friday, he decided to impose the obligation to wear a mask in all the municipalities on the coast.

"The expected tourist frequentation can generate a mixing of the population, in particular that coming from the zones of active circulation of the virus", indicates the prefect Benoît Brocart.

The Vendée rather spared

The measure will apply from Saturday morning and until Monday, November 2 in around twenty municipalities (L'Aiguillon, Bouin, Noirmoutier, Saint-Gilles ...).

In Sables-d'Olonne, wearing a mask had already been made compulsory a few days ago, in anticipation of the Vendée Globe.

In addition, five new municipalities located inland will be added to this list, which now concerns more than a third of the Vendée population.

Like the first wave, the department is rather spared by the coronavirus epidemic.

In the Pays-de-la-Loire region, it is the one where the indicators are the lowest with an incidence rate of 76.6 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and a positivity rate of 6.8%.
