"" Street culture "is contemporary contemporary art"

During the day, on the other hand, visitors will be able to walk the three floors of the building, wandering from room to room to discover the frescoes made with a spray and marvel at the precision of the drawings.

The “zoo” will send them back to the idea of a menagerie, to the context of an urban jungle.

"It is a way of discovering the instinctive, wild and abundant character of these cultural practices, which since the mid-1970s have marked the street, vacant lots, bodies and minds", continues Antoine Roblot.

"Street culture" is contemporary contemporary art, believes BBoy Lilou, artistic director of the event, ex-break dancer of the Pokémon Crew and former choreographer of Madonna.

Today, we see it everywhere, even within the big luxury brands.

It has become trendy but for a long time this culture was not appreciated at its true value ”.

He added: “Before, street culture was synonymous with vandalism.

Graffiti did not pass.

But mentalities have evolved ”.

"This exhibition wants to show how a minor culture, born in squats and the streets, has become 100% accepted", concludes Antoine Roblot.
