Google invented a new way to find these songs, which is the "hum".

And the company "Google" unveiled a new search feature on Thursday that allows users to search for songs by humming some melodies and words, in an attempt to help you identify the music, according to "CNN".

The feature is now part of the Google mobile app and Google Assistant, where you can say, "What's this song?"

With the addition of the phrase: "Hi Google" first, then hum, sing a clip, or even whistle for 10 to 15 seconds.

The results will include many of the potential songs, along with the search engine's estimate of how likely each song you are looking for.

Google said that the feature, which was announced along with many other search functions during an online event held by the company, will be available first in English on Apple's IOS system and in more than 20 languages on the system. Android ».

The idea of humming for search is not entirely new. The Soundhound app, for example, introduces the humming feature before Google.

And like many Google searches, the feature uses machine learning. The program essentially analyzes the tone you're singing, converting it into a series of numbers that can then be compared to tons of digital songs to find what looks like it.

The company has been using artificial intelligence to recognize music for a number of years.
