The Tokyo Metropolitan Government announced that it has confirmed that 284 new people have been infected with the new coronavirus in Tokyo based on preliminary figures as of 3:00 pm on the 15th.
It is the first time since October 10 that the number of confirmed infections per day has exceeded 200.
Also, it has exceeded 280 people since August 20, about two months ago.
This brings the total number of confirmed infections in Tokyo to 28,420.
