Private parties, including weddings, prohibited everywhere in France

"All private parties, such as weddings or student parties, which are held in halls, in multipurpose rooms or any other establishment open to the public will be prohibited" throughout the country due to the epidemic of coronavirus, Jean Castex said on Thursday.

Until then, the measure only applied in areas with a maximum alert level.

The Prime Minister spoke at a press conference the day after the announcement of the establishment of a night curfew from Saturday in Île-de-France and eight metropolises.
