The statue of "Amabie" was co-produced by an elementary school student and an organization created by craft artists in Minamiaso Village, hoping for the convergence of the new coronavirus.

The statue, which is made of bamboo or wood and made of cloth, is 2 meters high, and the scales are made of wooden plates on which all 480 children in the village wrote their wishes.

The plate said, "May my family stay healthy" and "May the new Corona finish sooner."
