After the “Space Sardine” series, and the trilogy of veteran Alan Cope, Emmanuel Guibert, Grand Prix d'Angoulême 2020, is back to school full of new features.

He is celebrating the 20 years of his famous character Ariol created with Marc Boutavant and exhibiting at the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Paris.

Publicity

This year 2020 marks the year of comics in France.

So decided by the Ministry of Culture.

Emmanuel Guibert

has become its leading figure.

First of all because he was the one who received the recognition of his peers, by receiving, in January 2020, the Grand Prix of the Angoulême Festival, awarded by no less than 1,800 authors.

Then, because he became the first comic book author to exhibit at the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Paris.

An academic consecration for this screenwriter and designer who is also a true popular author.

2020 also marks the 20th anniversary of its hero, the little blue donkey Ariol, whose two adventures “

Ramono, your uncle is doing organic

 ” and “

Naphtaline tells us doggie

” have just been released by Bayard editions.

He also publishes “

Legends, draw in museums

 ”, published by Aire Libre.
