Hoped for spring 2021, the future vaccine will have to be tested on 25,000 people, Inserm said this week.

The CHU is therefore already launching the search for volunteers to save time.

Those who wish to apply can already contact the CHU clinical investigation center.

People of all ages wanted

"The vaccine is not yet there but this will allow us to establish a first list", explains François Caron, head of the infectious diseases department at the CHU.

“As soon as we have a national trial to offer, subjects will be informed in detail about the proposed vaccine and all the elements of surveillance.

They will be followed closely.

"

All types of applicants are welcome for these clinical trials, regardless of their age.

“Not only young people but also older people, who have severe risk factors,” explains François Caron.

It is the same approach as for the flu vaccine.
