It is a call for responsibility and moderation.

The father of Estelle Mouzin, a girl whose partial DNA was found in the house of serial killer Michel Fourniret, released a press release entitled "Respect" on Monday, in which he addressed the media.

Eric Mouzin says he is "grateful" to the media "who have contributed to this" file "does not become a closed case".

But he invites them to "take up an ethical challenge", "while respecting the memory of all these child victims".

"Pleasure in accommodating morbid descriptions"

"Disclosing today the most cruel details of their crimes as evoked during hearings or transforming their lives into quasi-romantic fictions amounts to allowing this couple of criminals to continue their work of death", writes Eric Mouzin in a statement sent to all the media on behalf of the Estelle association, which fights to advance investigations into missing children.

Eric Mouzin recalls that "the engine of the couple of suspects was and still is today to sow horror" and that during the hearings of the time, one of the criminals "reveled in being able to destroy even more the families of victims by detailing the conditions under which he had committed his crimes with great pleasure to lodge morbid and traumatic descriptions in their minds ”.

"Trap"

In 2019, Eric Mouzin already confided to

20 Minutes

: “These people only want to do evil.

They are capable of getting into this, of accusing each other of something concerning Estelle just to make me go nuts.

And I will not fall into this trap… ”

Michel Fourniret, 78 years old, indicted in November for "kidnapping and sequestration followed by death", ended up confessing in March his responsibility in the case: "I recognize there a being who is no longer there by my fault" , he had declared to the judge.
