This is information that upsets Great Britain.

Tom Parker, one of the members of the boy band The Wanted, very popular across the Channel in the early 2010s, revealed this Monday to be suffering from brain cancer.

The 32-year-old artist explained on his Instagram account that this was the reason he had been keeping a low profile lately.

After indicating that he is under treatment, he announces that he and his wife Kelsey Hardwick have decided not to "make a secret" of his state of health.

The couple thus chose to grant an interview to the magazine

OK!

to "let the public know the facts in [their] way.

Hey guys, you know that we've both been quiet on social media for a few weeks and it's time to tell you why.

There's no easy way to say this but I've sadly been diagnosed with a Brain Tumor and I'm already undergoing treatment.

We decided, after a lot of thought, that rather than hiding away and trying to keep it a secret, we would do one interview where we could lay out all the details and let everyone know the facts in our own way.

We are all absolutely devastated but we are gonna fight this all the way.

We don't want your sadness, we just want love and positivity and together we will raise awareness of this terrible disease and look for all available treatment options.

It's gonna be a tough battle but with everyone's love and support we are going to beat this.

In this interview, Tom Parker recounts being the victim of a malaise in July, which led him to consult.

He was on the waiting list for an MRI when he went on vacation in August.

On his vacation spot, six weeks after the first one, he had a new, even more violent malaise, which led him to be hospitalized.

A few days later, he was diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma, an inoperable tumor.

"We are going to fight"

“We are completely devastated but we will fight.

We don't want your sadness, just your love and optimism.

Together, we want to raise awareness of this terrible disease and seek all possible treatments, ”wrote the couple in their Instagram post.

“There is so much history of people who defied diagnoses and are still alive ten or even fifteen years later,” Tom Parker told

OK!

The couple are parents to a little girl born last year and are currently expecting a second child.

The group The Wanted is unknown in France where only its song

Glad You Came

was exploited.

The boy band, created in 2009, broke up in 2014.
