, that an investigation has been open "for several weeks for moral harassment by spouse" targeting the deputy Liberties and Territories (LT) of the Gironde Benoit Simian.

This investigation, still ongoing, was launched “following multiple acts denounced by Mrs. Simian and targeting her husband.

The investigations were entrusted to the research brigade of the national gendarmerie.

The information had been revealed by RTL, according to which the relations between the Simian spouses deteriorated during their separation last spring.

The Bordeaux prosecutor's office confirms that "this file is, in view of the elements of the investigation, part of a stormy separation between the spouses" and after cross complaints "for willful violence.

His wife equipped with a Grave Danger Telephone

Contacted by RTL, Benoit Simian's wife, Soraya, says that he “tagged the letterbox, stole the trash, broke cameras (…) He listened to us, he observed us.

He was there all the time, from morning to night ”.

Soraya Simian would have been equipped with a Grave Danger Telephone, a box which makes it possible to fight against domestic violence.

The former LREM deputy for his part denies the facts, and also filed a complaint against his wife for violence.

The Bordeaux public prosecutor's office adds that “given the status of deputy of the Republic of Mr. Simian, a request for the lifting of parliamentary immunity has been formalized so that he can be heard and explained in the appropriate legal framework.
