On October 9, a new, ninth season of the vocal television show "The Voice" began on Channel One.

Valery Syutkin, Vasily Vakulenko (Basta), Polina Gagarina and Sergey Shnurov returned to the mentorship.

They have previously worked with participants in versions of the project for different ages.

The first contestant of the season was Fantine Pritula.

The girl lives in Moscow, and owes her unusual name to her mother, a native of the Dominican Republic.

For her debut performance on the project, Pritula chose the hit I'm Every Woman, known by Whitney Houston.

At the very first notes, Sergey Shnurov, Polina Gagarina and Basta turned in it - later Valery Syutkin joined them.

Polina Gagarina noted that the vocalist needs to get rid of uncertainty, and Valery Styukin hinted at the possibility of developing in the jazz direction.

However, Pritula chose to join the team of Vasily Vakulenko, since she plans to work on pop sound.

17-year-old Ivan Kharitonov from Sergiev Posad said that he followed the project from the first season.

The young artist even participated in the children's "Voice", but then he was not lucky.

This time, the performance of Jony's hit “Comet” secured Kharitonov's place in Polina Gagarina's team.

All members of the jury liked the song Holding Out for a Hero performed by Maria Rusakova.

Sergei Shnurov described the performance with the words "brilliant, temperamental - everything is right."

The contestant became the first representative of his team.

Oleg Sherin made a bet on Shura's song "Summer Rains Stood Out".

“I didn't give up.

He fought to the end, "- summed up the performance of the vocalist Valery Syutkin, who nevertheless pressed the button on the last notes to take the participant under his wing.

Gor Ispiryan from the Trans-Baikal Territory chose the composition of the Queen I Want to Break Free.

Polina Gagarina and Sergey Shnurov wished to see him in their teams.

Ispiryan decided to continue participating in the show led by Gagarina.

Alexander Elovskikh, with a song by Raymond Pauls to the poems by Ilya Reznik "The Way to Light", brought a nostalgic mood to the project.

Sergei Shnurov compared his style of performance with "a voice from Soviet receivers."

The participant preferred Valery Syutkin to Polina Gagarina.

A native of Kirov, Bogdan Kiyashko began his career in the school choir, and a year ago he graduated from VGIK.

At the blind auditions, he presented the hit Sher Bang Bang (also known for the film Kill Bill by Quentin Tarantino), and also played along with himself on the piano.

Basta, Polina Gagarina and Sergey Shnurov invited him to their teams - Kiyashko chose the latter.

Olga Dianova was able to charm Sergei Shnurov with a version of Polina Gagarina's song "Lullaby".

The contestant accompanied herself on the piano.

She admitted that she would like to get to the author-performer.

Although Gagarina did not dare to take the lead over the participant, she “forgave” Dianova for the changes she made to the melody.

Of course, not all the participants were lucky.

Alina Viardot from Pskov was an actress of theater and cinema, but due to problems with her vocal cords she lost her voice for two years.

Having regained her health, she took up vocals.

The artist chose Yuri Loza's song "Plot".

According to Valery Syutkin, he heard in her performance the features of Masha Rasputina and Angelica Varum, and Polina Gagarina noted that Viardot is closer to the repertoire and sound of Lara Fabian.

However, she failed to demonstrate all her vocal capabilities and stay on the project.

Natalia Afanasyeva performed the composition "Sails" by Zivert and Mota.

The spouse of the contestant also went on stage and accompanied her on the double bass.

This year, her participation in the project has also been completed.

Eleanor Nosova was disappointed by the choice of the song - to participate in the blind auditions, she took Christina Aguilera's Fighter.

When she sang a composition of her own composition out of competition, the mentors advised her to choose a similar repertoire, by the example of which she would be able to show her talent.

Since the program aired on John Lennon's birthday, the release ended with the performance of the seven winners of the previous seasons of the project with the song Imagine.

Season 9 continued the tradition of spectator voting for the season's best coach.

In the first issue, the largest number of votes, 31%, was collected by Sergey Shnurov.

Earlier, in an interview with Channel One, the musician noted that he was considering the possibility of becoming the winner in this category again at the end of the season.

At the same time, the artist stressed that the competition for the title will be serious.

“The cast is quite strong, everyone has already learned how to work with artists.

Of course, they steal a lot from me, but okay.

The audience chooses, because, probably, we are trying with my team to do not some banal numbers ... not about the voice, but rather about the presentation, about ourselves.

Indeed, somehow take a broader view of the competition, ”Shnurov said.

The Russian version of the Voice project was first aired in 2012.

Musicians such as Alexander Gradsky, Grigory Leps, Ani Lorak, Pelageya, Konstantin Meladze and Dima Bilan became mentors at different times.

Also on Russian television since 2014 the show “Voice.

Children ”, and in 2018“ Voice 60+ ”appeared.
