According to the Sanxingdui Museum, in November 2019, comprehensive exploration and key excavations of the Sanxingdui site were restarted. On September 6, 2020, with the approval of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, the Sichuan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology initiated a scientific excavation of the sacrificial area of the Sanxingdui site, opening a new era of archaeology at the Sanxingdui site.
The Sanxingdui Museum currently has two exhibition halls with a construction area of 10,800 square meters. As the Sanxingdui site continues to produce new archaeological achievements, the existing exhibition halls can no longer accommodate new cultural relics.
To this end, Sanxingdui Museum is based on building a world-class heritage museum to meet the needs of new archaeological discoveries at the Sanxingdui site, improve the protection and exhibition of cultural relics, promote the upgrading of museum tourism service facilities, and decide to build a high-level planning and high-standard construction of the Sanxingdui Museum. Expert review mode: Among the applicant design agencies that meet the registration requirements, 10 design units will be selected through prequalification as the second-stage expert review program; then the domestic top, multi-professional program review committee will select 3 programs; and The expert team will finally review and select one plan.
Online audition mode: In order to maximize the solicitation of proposals, a collection competition platform is provided for individuals and individual designers and other independent designers, and online audition is set up.
In this solicitation, reasonable economic compensation will be given to participating design agencies or individuals to increase the enthusiasm of design agencies or individuals.
Compensation awards for this collection activity totaled 10 million yuan.
