The reinforced white plan has been activated for hospitals in Ile-de-France.

To cope with the resurgence of the coronavirus epidemic, public hospitals and private clinics have moved closer, much better than in the spring.

The private sector would contribute to the care of 30% of intensive care patients.

The Covid-19 epidemic situation is deteriorating further.

Olivier Véran, Minister of Health, announced that Lyon, Lille, Grenoble and Saint-Etienne were put on maximum alert on Saturday.

In Ile-de-France, the ARS warned: "hospitals and clinics must prepare for a very strong tide of new patients".

To deal with this crisis situation, especially in Ile-de-France where the reinforced white plan has been activated, the public-private partnership has been relaunched.

"The partnership between the public and the private sector is much more fluid because we benefit from this experience of the first wave", explains Yolande Di Natale, director of an establishment in Seine-Saint-Denis, a department on maximum alert.

Covid patients occupy half of its intensive care unit, so for help, the director has relaunched her contacts in the private sector.

"Compared to the start of the first wave, we know each other, we got to know each other. We all have our cellphones, our WhatsApps so we can call on our private partners without any problems," continues Yolande Di Natale.

Transfers when needed

Among the positive responses, that of Jean-Philippe Gambaro, director of a nearby clinic with available beds.

"Our emergency services are in contact with emergency physicians in Montreuil, these exchanges result in transfers if necessary."

A collaboration welcomed by Lamine Gharbi, president of the federation of private hospitalization.

"The private sector contributes to the care of 30% of intensive care patients."

"We are no longer in the background or in reinforcement, it was the case last March when we were called when the hospitals were full, which was a mistake", continues Lamine Gharbi.
