In Tunisia, while the health crisis worsens, the economic and social issues of the post-revolution are increasingly asserting themselves, ten years after the uprising that ended the dictatorship.
The problem of the consumption of adulterated alcohol has been brought back into the debate, with a news item in May 2020 that shook public opinion.

More than sixty people have been intoxicated with Quarres, an eau de cologne that the most underprivileged are used to drinking because it is cheaper than wine or beer.
Seven people have died, not counting other deaths over the summer, with similar causes.
This cologne, often sold in black, is sometimes poorly mixed and too concentrated in methanol, also creating harmful side effects.
The death of these consumers, most of them young, moved public opinion in Tunisia, but it also revealed the problems of poverty, addiction and marginalization that continue to plague the country, despite a democratic transition in Classes.
