British Prince Harry and his wife Megan reached a settlement with a celebrity photography agency who had photographed their son at home without permission, according to court documents, the day before yesterday.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex filed a lawsuit last July, in which they said that a number of celebrity photographers used drones and helicopters to take "illegal" pictures of their son Archie while he was at the family's residence in California when he was 14 months old.

According to the documents submitted to the Los Angeles Supreme Court, the photo agency "X17" agreed to stop publishing the pictures in which Archie appears with his grandmother in a garden inside the family residence. It also agreed to hand over the original pictures and all copies thereof. Apologies to the family.

"We apologize to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their son for the inconvenience we caused ... We made a mistake when we showed these pictures, and we pledge not to do that again," she said.

Harry, Meghan and their son Archie now live in Los Angeles after the couple gave up their royal roles at the end of March.

The family moved out of Britain as hostility increased to the intense media coverage of their private life.

The agency apologizes: we made a mistake, and we pledge never to do it again.

Hand over the original photos and all copies thereof.
