Two awards last year
After the literature prize was canceled in 2018 due to the scandals surrounding the Swedish Academy, two prizes were awarded last year.
The Ukrainian author Olga Tokarczuk was awarded the delayed prize for 2018 and the Austrian Peter Handke received the 2019 prize.
