Our contemporary reality has long been called postmodern.

It looks like this word is out of date.

Today there is more and more surrealism around us.

At the very moment when the Court of Appeal of England overturns the decision of the High Court of London recognizing opposition leader Juan Guaido as president of Venezuela, the losing election in Belarus Svetlana Tikhanovskaya is touring Europe.

Photos from the meeting with Merkel are extremely revealing.

In all the photographs, Tikhanovskaya in the pose of a modest and obedient student.

However, this does not prevent the press from reporting in all seriousness about the "negotiations" and the importance of the proposals being discussed.

Prior to that, Tikhanovskaya had a meeting with Macron, which looked even more comical against the background of Macron's recent problems with the "yellow vests", but such trifles have recently not been paid attention to in the "advanced" and "civilized" Western society.

What does the “president of Belarus according to Lithuania's version” count on?

Nothing original: investment support, assistance to human rights organizations and independent media.

The key words here, of course, are "investment support".

Doesn't it look like anything?

That's right, Ukraine somehow involuntarily pops up in the memory.

How does it end?

The fact that the posture of standing with an outstretched hand in front of a big western brother is becoming familiar, and the European Union is saying through the lip: "We are not an ATM for you."

At the same time, let me remind you that after negotiations with Tikhanovskaya, Macron told reporters that he would "do everything possible" to "influence the regime that is coming to an end."

Apparently, the Europeans have neither the strength nor the means to influence the solution of really serious problems concerning Europe.

The senior overseas partner, the United States, is mainly concerned about the energy security of the European Union, so much so that Europe cannot get rid of this concern, risking losing all funds invested in the construction of Nord Stream 2.

The migration crisis, violent Erdogan, and the same covid - real problems cannot be solved.

The only thing that remains for the Europeans is imitation of violent activity, for example, “caring” about the Belarusian people suffering from the oppression of the “dictator”.

European politicians seem to be the last to worry about the problems of their own peoples.

An additional argument in favor of the thesis about the complete incapacity of the current EU is the imposed personal sanctions against 40 Belarusian officials, but by no means the closure of the EU market for Belarus, not the rejection of Belarusian oil products, which could really affect the situation inside Belarus and economically greatly weaken her.

Even personal sanctions against Lukashenka personally were introduced only by Britain and Canada, frankly speaking, economic and political partners for Belarus are not of the first importance.

Europeans do not need a "color revolution" in this country at all, the USA needs it.

The only thing that the European Union can really do at the moment is only external forms without content, protocol meetings for the press, fake sanctions, which more imitate real restrictions than in effect.

Even when asked whether you recognize Svetlana Tikhanovskaya as the current president of Belarus at the moment when you do not recognize Lukashenko as such, German politicians answer that at this stage there is no question of official recognition.

Typical demagoguery.

And politicians resort to demagoguery, as we know, precisely at those moments when, in essence, there is nothing to say or oppose.

Let us recall once again the recent precedent with the "President of Venezuela according to the West" Guaido, which sounded so loudly at the peak of events in Venezuela.

The politician, who declared himself president, was hosted by the president of the United States, the hegemon of the world.

And what, how did this loud story end?

Pshikom.

The bubble was blown away in an instant, and the entire "civilized" world pretended that nothing special had happened, they just forgot, as if nothing had happened.

And even the British court was forced to eventually overthrow the self-proclaimed president of Venezuela from his speculative post.

Why do Europeans, being burned in Venezuela, repeat exactly the same thing in the case of Belarus?

A rhetorical question.

Apparently, having once embarked on the slippery path of serving as a vassal, renouncing sovereignty and from his glorious past, then it is very difficult to straighten his shoulders again and gain true dignity.

Almost impossible.
