Barrier gestures, distancing, payment at the table… To be able to remain open without time restrictions, restaurants in “maximum alert” areas such as Paris, its inner suburbs, Aix-en-Provence and Marseille will have to comply with a strict health protocol.

strict health protocol.

  • Distancing and reinforced hygiene measures in restaurants

Whether in the capital or in the Phocaean city, each restaurant must make hydroalcoholic gel available on all tables and not just inside the establishment.

Restaurant owners will also have to maintain a distance of 1 meter “between the chairs” of the different groups of guests.

The guests will have to keep their mask most of the time except when eating the dishes.

Groups of guests will be limited to six - including children - against ten currently.

Paying at the table will be preferred and customers will be "encouraged" to book to avoid crowds around restaurants.

  • Improved customer traceability

Restaurant customers will not however be forced to download the StopCovid application, even if they will be "strongly encouraged" to do so, on the other hand they will have to leave their name, their telephone number and possibly their e-mail in a "notebook. contact ".

They can thus be warned by Health Insurance in the event of detection of a case of Covid-19 in a consumer who has come to the establishment.

  • Reinforced controls in restaurants

The restaurant owner will have to display, outside his establishment, a gauge indicating the total capacity of reception of this one, in order to facilitate any checks.

In order to ensure that these reinforced protocols are well respected, the government provides that an "accelerated procedure" can be put in place to close the establishments in violation.

  • The concept of "bar" clarified

All bars close, except “drinking establishments” for which the sale of drinks is “incidental” The only exception to the closing of bars: establishments registered as “drinking establishments” but “offering the sale of drinks on an accessory basis by in relation to catering ”, may remain in activity.

These are establishments whose turnover is mainly made up of the catering activity, but which have nevertheless retained the “drinking outlet” classification.
