The meeting revealed that from October 1 to 4, the national fire rescue teams received 7,519 police, dispatched 89,100 fire commanders and rescued 2,510 trapped people.
The meeting emphasized that it is necessary to coordinate the overall situation, combine the actual conditions of various places, focus on the key points of holiday prevention and control, strictly implement work responsibilities, and resolutely avoid problems such as loss of control at the source, chaotic management, and inspections.

The Office of the State Council’s Security Committee and the Ministry of Emergency Management sent 14 inspection teams to conduct open and unannounced visits. As of October 4, they had inspected more than 60 places in Hubei, Hebei, Shanxi, Heilongjiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, Shandong, Henan, Sichuan and Yunnan. A total of more than 200 hidden dangers were found, including large mine ventilation resistance, inadequate management of hot operations, safety valves of liquid ammonia storage tanks in individual hazardous chemical companies not using lead seals, and chaotic management of hazardous chemical warehouses. The scenic spot lacks fire-fighting equipment, the security personnel are not skilled in using fire-extinguishing equipment, and the fire prevention publicity is not in place.
All inspection teams have given feedback to relevant localities and departments and requested immediate rectification.
