It is a tradition of more than three centuries which takes place each year in the south of Togo.
We proceed to the taking of the sacred stone to mark the new year.
This year, the tradition was confronted with the measures taken against the spread of the Covid-19.

While preparations are underway, an announcement from the spiritual leader, King of the Guins stops everything: there will be no taking of the Sacred Stone this year.
