Since Friday evening October 2, Madrid and nine other cities in the same region, a total of 4.7 million people (71% of the population of the regional agglomeration of Madrid), have been zonally confined.

They cannot leave the perimeter of their municipality, except for reasons of force majeure, or go to work.

Publicity

This confinement, imposed by the central power, comes as the Madrid region has more than 647 cases of Covid-19 per 100,000 inhabitants this last fortnight.

Which makes the Spanish capital the epicenter of the pandemic in Europe.
