Should we fear the end of the "beginning of improvement in the health plan" noted by Olivier Véran in Marseille?

After several days of decline, the number of patients with Covid-19 admitted to intensive care at the Assistance Publique des Hôpitaux de Marseille (AP-HM) is on the rise again this Friday and Saturday.

On October 2, the AP-HM treated 154 patients with the coronavirus, including 40 in intensive care.

This Saturday, she identified 166 including 43 in intensive care.

These figures, however, remain below the peak observed on September 28.

That day, the AP-HM registered 177 patients with the coronavirus, including 50 in intensive care.

These figures are communicated while, in accordance with the review clause, the prefect of Bouches-du-Rhône must indicate in the coming hours whether or not he is suspending his order decreeing the closure of bars and restaurants in Marseille.

In its latest update published last Tuesday, the Regional Health Agency reported a drop in the incidence rate in Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, from 278 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants detected the week of 14 to September 20 to 235 the following week.

However, the positivity rate was up slightly.
