During the operation in the sea area about 8 kilometers south, the flooding was inclined. There were 13 people on the boat. The fishing boat was in danger of sinking and requested help.

The ship lost contact shortly afterwards.

  After receiving the report, the Guangdong Provincial Emergency Management Department, the Guangdong Provincial Search and Rescue Center, and the Jiangmen Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government attached great importance and instructed the Jiangmen Maritime Search and Rescue Center to immediately initiate an emergency response and coordinate all parties to carry out large-scale search work on the spot.

The Taishan Municipal Party Committee and Government responded immediately and organized all forces to assist the rescue work.

  All parties immediately dispatched 6 professional ships, coordinated with 4 past merchant ships and 7 nearby fishing boats, and other rescue aids rushed to the scene to conduct search and rescue. At the same time, they dispatched rescue helicopters to fly over the accident waters to conduct a large-scale aerial search.

  According to the latest news, as of 9 o'clock on October 3, 12 people have been rescued, all vital signs are stable, and one person is still missing. The search and rescue operation is still continuing.
