Dorotea Bromberg founded the book publisher Brombergs in 1975 together with her father Adam Bromberg.

Since then, the publisher has published authors from different cultures and parts of the world, including Nobel laureates Isaac Bashevis Singer, Czeslaw Milosz, Octavio Paz and JM Coetzee.

- We have introduced certain authorships in Sweden that might otherwise not have been published and stubbornly continue to work with the authors regardless of what times it has been on the market, says Dorotea Bromberg.

Senior publisher

The publisher Brombergs has been a small but important publisher in the Swedish book industry.

Now Brombergs will be part of the large publishing group Norstedts to carry on the publishing house's legacy.

Dorotea Bromberg continues to work with the authors as a senior publisher, and ensure that the books reach the readers.

- To run a publishing house is to run a business.

Now I have passed the age of 65 and think it will be nice to do what I am best at and think is the most fun, says Dorotea Bromberg.

- It feels positive and exciting.

It feels like a whole new phase and that I am taking a new step into my publishing life.

It will be very fun to see what we can achieve together at Norstedts.
