During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday, the ancient house tour has become the first choice for many Fuzhou citizens and foreign tourists.
On October 2, the second day of the holiday, the major scenic spots in Fuzhou also ushered in a peak of tourists.
The reporter visited several historical and cultural blocks in downtown Fuzhou and found that tourists have a stronger interest in traditional culture.
[Explanation] At 2 pm, the characteristic historical and cultural district of Liangcuo, located in the suburbs of Fuzhou, is crowded with people, and there is an endless stream of people coming to visit.
Liangcuo’s characteristic historical and cultural block has staggered laneways and contiguous ancient homes. There are a total of 64 preserved buildings. Since ancient times, there have been prosperous styles, celebrities and a long history.
In November 2019, Fuzhou launched the reconstruction project of Liangcuo's characteristic historical and cultural district. After more than 300 days of restoration and reconstruction, the Liangcuo's characteristic historical and cultural district officially welcomed tourists on the eve of National Day.

In recent years, Fuzhou has speeded up the protection and upgrading of ancient homes. Through repairing the old, renovating the environment, excavating culture, and perfecting supporting facilities, 15 historical and cultural blocks have been carefully built and have been opened.
[Explanation] Later, the reporter went to the historical and cultural district of Shangxiahang, Fuzhou. Shangxiahang got its name from the "navigation". A hundred years ago, there were many merchants and famous shops here, and it became the commercial center and shipping terminal of Fuzhou.
For a long time, this place has always been an important place for folklore and historian experts to study the development of Fuzhou's commerce, and it is known as the "Fuzhou Traditional Commercial Museum".
[Explanation] As a tourism card of Fuzhou, during the Mid-Autumn National Day holiday, the historical and cultural districts of Shangxiahang have also become the main destinations for tourists.
The reporter saw that both sides of the street were newly decorated, the bright red national flag fluttered in the wind, and the whole scenic spot was festive, peaceful and orderly.
