5.00 Madrid questions the validity of the restrictions: "Legally the agreement is not valid"

The Community of Madrid maintains the pulse with the central government by rejecting the mobility restrictions announced in ten municipalities in the region, including the capital, since it considers that the decision approved in the Interterritorial Health Council "is not legally valid."

The Minister of Health, Salvador Illa, has reported that his department will publish in the BOE in "the next few days" an order with the collegiate decision of the Interterritorial Health Council to apply new restrictions in ten municipalities of the Community of Madrid.

Specifically, they are Madrid capital, Alcalá de Henares, Alcobendas, Alcorcón, Fuenlabrada, Getafe, Leganés, Torrejón de Ardoz, Móstoles and Parla.

In total, almost five million citizens are watching the pulse of the Government and the Community.

However, the Madrid Minister of Health, Enrique Ruiz Escudero, considers that the decision adopted "is not legally valid" as it was not taken by consensus, as established in article 14.1 of the regulations of the Interterritorial Council of the National Health System.

In the event that these restrictions were finally published in the BOE, he has commented that the General Counsel of the Community of Madrid "would determine the type of action" to be followed by the regional government.
