Tsukasa Akimoto, a 48-year-old member of the House of Representatives who was charged with bribery in an IR corruption case, conspired with his supporters and urged the bribery side to perjury in court while on bail and handed over 20 million yen in cash. He was re-arrested for trying to do so, and was charged with the acquisition of witnesses who violated the Organized Crimes Punishment Act this month.



In this case, the Tokyo District Court received a request from the prosecution and decided on the 30th to cancel the bail for the corruption case of Representative Akimoto and to confiscate the entire bail of 30 million yen paid in February.



According to the prosecution, the court decided that the evidence could be destroyed and canceled the bail.
