They spoke with Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday.

Interview at the end of which François Clavairoly, president of the Protestant Federation of France (FPF) and Mohammed Moussaoui, president of the French Council for Muslim Worship (CFCM) affirmed that religious leaders will receive a text on October 15 on the strategy of the executive against "separatism".

“Four themes” make up the future bill, which will be presented to the Council of Ministers at the end of the year and then to Parliament in early January, according to François Clavairoly, who was also consulted by Gérald Darmanin on the subject during the day.

Neutrality and equality between men and women

According to him, the first axis will consist of a “reminder of the neutrality of the public service and of the delegations of public service”.

The second will focus on "the requirement, for all associations that want to apply for grants, to respect gender equality and not be subject to sectarian aberrations".

The third point will relate to “non-contract denominational schools”.

Finally the last part, according to him, will include provisions encouraging the Muslim cult, today mainly constituted under the regime of the association law 1901, to adopt the regime of associations law 1905 less flexible in its accounting obligations, in return for fiscal advantages.

"Better regulate foreign financial flows"

The future law "will also aim to better regulate foreign financial flows", with traceability, said Mohammed Moussaoui for his part.

"We fully share the aims and objectives", which are to fight "against those who instrumentalize the Muslim religion for political ends", he added, "afterwards, we wait to see that there is no no collateral damage to the measures implemented ”.

"The intention is good, but we will have to see the text itself," declared Eric de Moulins-Beaufort, president of the Conference of Bishops of France.
