They threatened to disobey if the prefect forced them to lower the curtain at 10 p.m.

Restaurant owners are in fact not affected.

A decree that must be taken this Monday evening for immediate application will reduce the time slot for bars only, said the prefecture.

And the measure, if it will therefore only apply to drinking establishments, will ultimately concern the whole of the Alpes-Maritimes department, and not only the metropolis of Nice, classified as a “reinforced alert zone” in the face of Covid- 19.

Closed fitness rooms

The prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes also announced the "closure of public and private sports establishments", except for "activities of school groups, extracurricular or minors, professional and high-level athletes, continuing education and outdoor activities. air ”.

Festive and family gatherings are also prohibited in “party and multi-purpose rooms, marquees, tents and structures”.

These new measures will apply until October 12.

They complement those already announced on September 22, such as the closure of restaurants at 12:30 a.m. and the ban on the sale of take-out alcohol after 8 p.m. and “all amplified musical activities” outdoors.

Private groups of more than ten people are still prohibited.

The limit of 1,000 people in major events now only includes visitors and not the organizers and technical teams.
