A jury and a few stars who will climb the steps to present their film.

Canceled in May due to a pandemic, the 2020 Cannes Film Festival will take place on the Croisette, but in October and in an ultra-reduced version, the organizers and the town hall announced on Monday.

"We hoped, it's decided, the Festival will be present in Cannes in this very special year 2020," they explained in a press release.

Scheduled from Tuesday 27 to Thursday 29 October, this edition will allow the general public to discover "four premieres of films from the 2020 Official Selection".

But the other usual prizes, including the Palme d'Or, will not be awarded this year.

The 74th edition of the next Cannes Film Festival will take place from May 11 to 22, 2021.
