Saturday evening, Laurent Ruquier presented the first number of "On est en direct", replacing the famous "We are not lying", canceled last season.

For this first talkshow with a cozy atmosphere and numerous interviews, the audiences are encouraging.

A page has turned for Laurent Ruquier.

The host presented the first issue of his new magazine, "On est en direct", which has the difficult task of succeeding the famous "We are not lying".

After fifteen seasons, the talkshow had lost its luster and saw its audiences erode very clearly.

The kickoff of his successor was given on Saturday evening on France 2.

For the premiere, Laurent Ruquier interviewed the Minister of Justice, Eric Dupont-Moretti, discussed with the choreographer Jean-Marc Généreux, talked about theater with Bernard Campan and Isabelle Carré, received Catherine Ringer for a tribute to Juliette Greco.

The host also organized a debate on freedom of expression with four cartoonists, the day after the attack near the former premises of Charlie Hebdo.

Encouraging audiences

On screen, Laurent Ruquier and his - many - guests appear in the cozy decor of a private bar.

The host conducts his interviews solo, without other columnists.

Far from the outbursts of voices and the atmosphere of "clash" which had marked "We are not lying".

On the audience side, the score is encouraging.

A little more than 800,000 viewers were at the rendezvous on Saturday, for 13.3% of audience share.

Far from the peak of its previous show, with 20% audience share, but well ahead of its difficult end of the season: it had then fallen to 8%.
