The Construction Bureau of Wuhan Donghu High-tech Zone notified that the sinking was a construction site for the Wuhan Metro. Casualties, no subway in the sinking area.
At present, the Optics Valley Plaza subway is normal, and the sinking area is undergoing on-site repair.
According to reports, at 6:41 a.m. on the 27th, upon receiving information from Wuhan Metro Group, the road surface collapsed on the Guanggu turntable on Minzu Avenue from the south to the north.
The Transportation Office and Municipal Section of the Construction Bureau of East Lake High-tech Zone immediately went to the scene to investigate the situation.
After on-site investigation, it is preliminary analyzed that there is a drainage pipe network under the road, which may have collapsed due to water seepage. The specific situation needs to be further verified.
In order to ensure safety, the on-site personnel urgently closed the right-turn ramp of the road, and immediately formulated detour plans for the 4 bus lines (538, 572, 738, 759) passing through here to ensure safe and convenient travel for citizens.
