Start accepting applications for "University Admission Common Test" starting in January next year September 28, 4:15

Instead of the National Center Test for University Admissions, which has continued for about 30 years, applications for the "National Center Test for University Admissions", which will start in January next year, will be accepted from the 28th.

The National Center Test for University Admissions has been decided to be introduced because it is necessary to reform the entrance examination with an emphasis on thinking ability and judgment, and will be held for the first time in January next year in place of the center examination that more than 500,000 people took every year.

Initially, private English exams and descriptive questions in Japanese and mathematics were planned to be introduced as pillars of admission reform, but since all of the inadequacy of the system were pointed out one after another, this is the questioning method. As before, the mark sheet method will be maintained.

On the other hand, the content emphasizes issues that require thinking and judgment, and the English score will be changed from 200 points for "writing" and 50 points for listening to 100 points each.

Considering that the school closure was prolonged and learning was delayed due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, this test will be held for two days on January 16th and 17th next year, and two weeks after that. It will be held for two days, January 30th and 31st.

Applications will be accepted starting on the 28th and ending on the 8th of next month.
