China News Service, Chongqing, September 27 (Reporter Liu Xian and Liu Xianglin) At about 0:30 on September 27, a carbon monoxide overrun accident occurred in Songzao Coal Mine, a subsidiary of Chongqing Nengtou Yu New Energy Company, which caused 17 people to be trapped.

Up to now, 17 trapped persons have been searched and rescued. Among them, 16 have no vital signs and 1 has been sent to the hospital for full rescue.

  After the accident, Chongqing Municipality and Qijiang District immediately launched emergency plans, and established working groups for emergency rescue, medical rescue, aftermath work, investigation and evaluation, and emergency, medical, public security, and fire protection departments to carry out rescue and disposal work on the spot.

The aftermath is currently being carried out in an orderly manner, and the cause of the accident is under further investigation.
