According to the General Meteorological Agency of Japan, the cyclone is currently located in the area of the Minamitori Atoll and is moving northwest towards the main island of Honshu at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour.
The wind speed in the center is 18 meters per second, with gusts - up to 25 meters per second.
Experts expect the storm to hit the east coast of Honshu by mid-week, bringing rainfall and increased winds with it.
Earlier in Japan, as a result of the impact of typhoon Haishen, four people were missing, and another 52 were injured.
