Recently, the archaeological excavation of the cultural relics of the Mangga site carried out by the Yunnan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology in conjunction with the Lincang Cultural Relics Management Office and other units has been completed. A total of 128 relics such as trenches, tombs, and ash pits have been discovered. There are more than 1,500 pieces (sets) of various relics such as pottery and bronze.

According to Hu Changcheng, an associate researcher at the Yunnan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, who was in charge of the archaeological excavation, “The Mangga Site is a riverside platform settlement site that lasted from the Neolithic Age to the Ming and Qing Dynasties. , And the types of relics are rich, which are of great value for the study of ethnicity, culture and history in the Nanting River Basin and even southwestern Yunnan.” The picture shows the unearthed tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties (data photos).
