On September 26, in the women's speed climbing finals of the 2020 Chinese Climbing League Tibet Linzhi Station, Niu Di from Hubei Rock Climbing National Training Team and Deng Lijuan from Hunan Qixing Mountain National Rock Climbing National Training Team ranked in 6.81 seconds and 6.98 seconds. Champion and runner-up, both surpassed the world record of 6.99 seconds held by Indonesia's Aris.
In the women's speed climbing preliminaries on the 25th, Deng Lijuan set the Chinese record for women's speed climbing with a time of 7.08 seconds.
