A reporter from the Beijing News learned that the trial has now ended and the verdict has not been pronounced in court. The plaintiff applied in court for the first execution of 100,000 yuan in compensation for treatment, which was supported by the court.
At 9 a.m. on the 25th, the case of "replacement of life for 28 years" was held at the People's Court of Gulou District, Kaifeng City.
Yao Ce, the subject of liver cancer, was pushed to the scene by his parents in a wheelchair.
Yao Ce told the Beijing News reporter that not long after the operation, he was inconvenient to sit and walk for a long time. He was afraid that the trial time would be too long and he could not persist, so he took painkillers before going out.
At 11 o'clock in the morning, a reporter from the Beijing News learned from Zhou Zhaocheng, the attorney for the plaintiff, that the trial had ended and the court had not pronounced the verdict on the spot.
In addition, Yao Ce stated that he applied for the first execution of 100,000 yuan in compensation for treatment in this trial, and obtained the support of the court. He has now received the treatment compensation.
Yao Ce said that he would go to the Huaihe Hospital of Henan University next to see where his life was changed 28 years ago.
The Beijing News previously reported that Yao Ce, a 28-year-old young man from Jiujiang, Jiangxi, was diagnosed with liver cancer. His mother, Ms. Xu, wanted to cut the liver to save her son, but found no blood relatives with her son.
Due to a work error in the Huaihe Hospital of Henan University, where Ms. Xu gave birth, two mothers held the wrong child.
On September 11, the case was heard in the People's Court of Gulou District, Kaifeng City for the first time.
