[Explanation] The "predecessor" of Yellowstone National Mine Park is Daye Iron Mine. Its core scenic spot, "Mining and Metallurgical Canyon", was once "Asia's first mining pit".
After more than 100 years of large-scale mining, the Daye Iron Mine has consumed 130 million tons of iron ore reserves, and finally formed the "First Tiankeng in Asia" with a maximum drop of 444 meters and a pit area of 1.08 million square meters.

At that time, we could only live in bungalows. Due to mining reasons, the magnifying artillery can not be used as high-rise buildings. The bungalows were filled with ash everywhere, and all the tiles on the tiles were white ash. As soon as the sun is exposed to the sun, the rocks absorb a lot of heat and release it at night. It is extremely hot at night and it is the environment when it is impossible to sleep.
[Explanation] By the beginning of this century, its iron ore reserves had been less than 30 million tons, and it was listed as a "crisis mine" by the country.
Faced with the pain of resource depletion and environmental pollution, the miners are looking for a breakthrough in transformation.
Beginning in 1990, Daye Iron Mine began to remediate industrial and mining land and carry out ecological reclamation.
Seeing green through the cracks, breaking through the walls, backfilling and planting green, the mines planted trees from generation to generation, and finally planted ten thousand acres of pagoda tree on the stones.

How to plant trees on stones? We have failed many times. The tree we planted last year still didn’t exist this year, but that dead tree is a dead sapling. Slowly planted trees died, and it became humus. We started planting There are tasks for trees. We carry the soil on our backs with snakeskin bags, and the soil does not stand on top of it. That's how it is, but slowly and repeatedly, generation after generation of miners go up to plant trees, then This is the result.
[Explanation] Daye Iron Mine completed the Huangshi National Mine Park covering an area of 15 square kilometers in 2005. It officially opened to welcome guests two years later and was rated as a national 4A scenic spot in 2010.

[Explanation] Today, through the two-wheel drive of industrial tourism and ecological tourism, Huangshi National Mine Park has formed mining production to provide resources for tourism development, and industrial tourism has enhanced the reputation of mining operations and injects vitality into the sustainable development of century-old mines.
