Chinanews.com, Beijing, September 24 (Wang Yifei, Qian Chenfei) On the large-scale antique painting "Tongyunhao", the rhythm of the guqin melody is flowing, which connects ancient and modern times.

On the 24th, the "Beijing-Hangzhou Charm" Grand Canal Gathering, one of the important events of the "Beijing-Hangzhou Dialogue" in the 2020 China Grand Canal Cultural Belt, was held in Tongzhou, Beijing.

On that day, artists from Beijing, Zhejiang, Hangzhou and Yangzhou performed one after another.

Professor Zhao Jiazhen of the Central Conservatory of Music and the inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage of the Guqin art let the guqin rhythm "flow" from the fingertips; Yang Yang, the Music Director, Chief Conductor of the Central Opera House, Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Seventh Chinese Music Golden Bell Singer Wang Lida, the winner of the Gold Award for National Vocal Music, expresses the different cultural charms of Beijing and Hangzhou with north-south music; calligraphers and painters Guo Baoqing and Ru Feng splattered ink to depict the thousand-year style of the canal; national first-class actor, dancer, choreographer, and producer Wang Yabin dance "Xing Yun" tells history...

In addition, famous artists from the North and the South gathered for an in-depth dialogue. The vice chairman of the Beijing Writers Association, the national first-level writer Zhang Wei, and the national first-level writer and Lu Xun Prize winner Lu Chunxiang also discussed how to promote the canal culture, inherit the canal culture, and shape it. The North and South cultural brands put forward innovative ideas and suggestions.

An elegant gathering is a gathering of a group of literati and guest, but also an exchange between the delicate and elegant southern culture and the bold and unrestrained northern culture.

Behind the "elegance" of Yaji, between the north and south charms, these art forms derived from life also make the "firework" of the Grand Canal of China (hereinafter referred to as the Grand Canal) naturally manifested, reaching the hearts of the people.

The Grand Canal, which spans 8 provinces and cities and has access to five major water systems, is nearly 3,200 kilometers long and has a history of more than 2,500 years.

Today, stories about the Grand Canal have been told from generation to generation, and the fascinating thing about the story is that the story continues.

From a cultural perspective, the Grand Canal, as the river of development and the river of people’s livelihood, flows in the "firework" and has nurtured and influenced the cultural heritage of the bright stars along the coast, which contains the essence of profound ideas and national spirit.

For example, many literary works in history are related to the canal.

In "Dream of Red Mansions" "Lin Daiyu throws her father into Kyoto", Lin Daiyu walks northward along the canal into Beijing.

The Ming Dynasty writer Zhang Dai also recorded in the collection that he traveled along the canal to Yanzhou, Shandong.

The Ming Dynasty stories in Feng Menglong and Ling Zhaochu's "San Yan Er Pai" basically describe the canal or things related to the canal.

The Grand Canal also forged the different qualities of the North and the South.

In the south of the Yangtze River, tea culture, silkworm and silk culture, local operas, etc. gather along the canal, accumulating classical gardens, library buildings, and ancient bridge towers.

In the north, the water transport culture, folk arts, and food culture take root in various places, promoting customs, traditional customs, and lifestyles to closely inherit the Central Plains culture.

And along with the historical process, this river of culture has become the main "channel" for the exchange and integration of Chinese culture, connecting the dazzling chain of Chinese civilization.

Not only is the Canal Gathering specifically presenting culture and art, but during the "Beijing-Hangzhou Dialogue" event of the 2020 China Grand Canal Cultural Belt, many guests also expressed their views on the role of canal culture.

Li Jingze, vice chairman of the Chinese Writers Association and a well-known literary critic, believes that since the Wei, Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties, the North-South difference has become a very important phenomenon in Chinese culture, and this difference is also a manifestation of the richness and creativity of Chinese culture.

"It is this canal that closely connects our rich terrain, topography, customs, lifestyle, language, and personality."

Shan Wei, party secretary and deputy curator of the National Museum of China, said that the Grand Canal is a cultural miracle.

"It gave birth to generations, including our joy, pain, tears, and peaceful life. It is an integral part of civilized life."

The story of the canal continues to this day and has been written continuously, which also reflects the role of cultural inheritance and promotion.

In the new historical stage, how to keep the canal culture better or even more "firework"?

The former chairman of the Zhejiang Writers Association and the famous writer Mai Jia said, “Many people may feel that the Grand Canal and the Great Wall have similar histories and are miracles, but the Great Wall’s reputation in the world may be much greater than that of the Grand Canal. People’s propaganda on the Great Wall for many years is related to its relatively independent viewing."

He believes that as the construction of the Grand Canal National Cultural Park advances, it will help the Grand Canal further "live", which is also a powerful measure to increase its viewing.

At the same time, the artist should put more emotions into the Grand Canal, walk to the canal, and write a group of works related to the Grand Canal.

Li Jingze pointed out that it is not enough to just show the good and old things along the canal. The most important thing is to make the Grand Canal truly become a river that carries national cultural creativity.

Building and sharing together is already a consensus.

During the Beijing-Hangzhou Dialogue on the China Grand Canal Cultural Belt in 2020, the event organizing committee released the "Co-Building and Sharing Grand Canal Culture Initiative".

The proposal stated that the Grand Canal of China runs from north to south, flowing through the vast land for more than 2500 years. It embodies the great wisdom and courage of the Chinese people. It is a precious world cultural heritage and one of the most representative cultural icons of the Chinese nation.

The organizing committee calls on the whole society to promote the protection, inheritance and utilization of the Grand Canal Cultural Belt by strengthening the protection of the canal, inheriting the canal culture, making good use of the canal wealth, promoting international exchanges, and stimulating the participation of the whole people to promote the protection, inheritance and utilization of the Grand Canal Cultural Belt, and jointly build and share a new future.

It is reported that the "Beijing-Hangzhou Dialogue" of the 2020 China Grand Canal Cultural Belt is co-sponsored by the Beijing Municipal People's Government Information Office, Zhejiang Provincial People's Government Information Office, Hangzhou Municipal People's Government, and China News Agency.
