Actors Joo Jin-mo and Ha Jung-woo were sentenced to imprisonment at the first trial for a family blackmail group who was handed over to trial for hacking and threatening the cell phones of eight entertainers.

Deputy Judge Kim Seong-hoon, the 19th criminal exclusive of the Seoul Central District Court, sentenced Moo Kim (34, female) and her husband, Moo Park (40), who were arrested on charges such as blackmail on the 21st, to 5 years and 2 years in prison, respectively.

In addition, Kim's younger sister, Kim Mo (30, female), who was charged with the same charges, was sentenced to three years probation in one year and April of imprisonment, while her husband, Moon Mo, 39, was sentenced to one year and six months in prison.

Kim's party is accused of extorting a total of 610 million won of money after hacking and threatening mobile phones of eight famous celebrities from the end of last year to the beginning of this year.

It was found that they have been organized like the voice phishing party for 2-3 months from the end of last year.

The police believe that there were gang members who made Korean bankbooks, made contact with victims, and threatened them.

Mr. Kim and Mr. Park received money worth 600 million won from five entertainers.

The judiciary ruled that "he obtained the celebrity's private life data by hacking method and threatened to disclose it to maximize fear and then committed a crime that demanded money."

He pointed out that "the crime is planned and organized, and the crime technique is very poor."

It is known that Kim's gang is a sister couple from Korean-Chinese and currently acquired Korean nationality.

They admitted all charges during the trial.

The police are also investigating through international cooperation against Mr. A, a leading domestically registered foreigner known to be in China.
