When you pronounce the word "wine", you immediately think of France, Italy, Spain, or new world wines, from the United States to Australia.

We do not think, of course, of Sweden.

Publicity

And yet, for twenty years pioneers have been fighting against the elements to plant vines in the south of the Scandinavian kingdom.

Efforts that are starting to pay off: Today, around fifty wine growers are selling their production.

Better still: the Swedish climate makes it possible to obtain fresh, tonic white wines, which is becoming more and more difficult in southern Europe because of global warming.

A prospect that encourages many young people to invest in the vineyard.
